Daytime Napping May Aid Learning

Taking an afternoon siesta for 45 minutes could offer clear improvements in memory performance, suggest the results of a new study conducted by Matthew A. Tucker, PhD, at the Center for Sleep and Cognition at Harvard Medical School and published in the journal Sleep. The research may have important implications for students and others making a concerted effort to retain new information.
