Genetic Link to Breast Cancer Found in Hispanic, Young Black Women

The same genetic mutation that's associated with a high risk of cancer in Ashkenazi Jewish women similarly affects many Hispanic women in the U.S., according to new research published in the
Journal of the American Medical Association. The study results also suggest that African-American women who are diagnosed with breast cancer before they reach their mid-30s are more likely to be genetically predisposed to the disease.
