Indonesia's H5N1 death toll has risen to 51 following the death of a nine-year-old boy in Jakarta.
A health official confirmed that the boy, who was said to have been in contact with a sick bird, died from the disease.
Of all countries, Indonesia has the highest number of deaths attributed to bird flu, and new cases continue to emerge.
The Health Ministry reported on Friday that an 11-year old boy had died in East Java last week. |
