The six-week annual Medicare Part D plan selection window is open again, and participants in the government-run prescription drug program will have to go through the onerous process of determining which plan best fits their needs. For many, the
Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Finder is a good place to start.
Other useful websites are
Consumer Reports Best Buy Drugs and
BenefitsCheckUp, a service of the National Council on Aging.
It's important for Plan D participants to review their options each year. Plan premiums can change, and the medications that plans cover can change too. Of course, an individual's prescription needs might change as well.
