Study Results Fuel Avandia Safety Controversy

New research is sparking renewed debate over the safety of the diabetes prescription drug Avandia. In a study of 160,000 patients over the age of 65, those who took Avandia to treat their type 2 diabetes were found to be significantly more susceptible to congestive heart failure, heart attacks and death than those who took other diabetes pills.
